11/10-11/14

REMEMBER: WE ARE NOW IN THE SECOND MARKING PERIOD! YOU ALL HAVE A CLEAN SLATE! LET'S WORK TOGETHER TO FOR YOUR SUCCESS!

Monday, Tuesday: Computer Lab - You will be composing a final creative writing assignment based on the poem from The Outsiders, "Nothing Gold Can Stay," by Robert Frost. Typed drafts of this personal narrative piece are due at the end of Tuesday's class (or the beginning of Wednesday's class without penalty).

Wednesday: Computer Lab, cont'd - You will be spending the period doing initial thinking about our next class reading: Night, the Holocaust memoir by Elie Wiesel. You will have an assignment to complete based on definitions, what you already know, what you want to know, what you are unsure about, etc. Whatever is not finished during class becomes homework!

Thursday, Friday: We will be back in Room 215 for a Night/Holocaust PowerPoint presentation. You will be asked to take notes in order to prepare for an open-notes quiz (happening early next week). HW (See Wednesday) will be collected at the beginning of the period.
